Diorama Ferrari 312 T2 - Niki Lauda crash 1976 Nürburgring, 1:18

A unique diorama of Niki Lauda's memorable accident from the 1976 German Grand Prix on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife circuit. On lap 2, Lauda lost control of his Ferrari, probably due to rear suspension failure, and crashed into the barriers. As a result of the impact, the car caught fire and bounced onto the track, ahead of Harald Ertl and Brett Lunger, who unfortunately crashed into the burning race car. Due to the impact, Lauda's helmet flew off his head and he was left sitting in the burning car. Arriving Arturio Merzario stopped his car, jumped out and together with Ertl, Lunger and Edwards helped to get Lauda out of the burning car.The race was suspended and Lauda was taken to hospital by helicopter. After difficult days of fighting for his life, the doctors managed to stabilize his condition, and the following month Lauda was ready for the Italian Grand Prix, where he finished 4th.

Lauda is a three-time world champion from 1975, 1977 with Ferrari and 1984 with McLaren. He drove in the F1 from the 1971 season until 1985 (with the exception of 1980 and 1981). He drove for March, BRM, Ferrari, Brabham and McLaren. In his career he won 25 races, 54 podiums and 24 pole positions.

The diorama shows the moment when Arturio Merzario pulls Niki Lauda out of the burning car. 

The basis is a resin model of Ferrari 312 T2 of our own production, customised according to records and photos from the accident.

Quality handwork. The diorama has built-in LEDs that light up the flames of the fire when turned on. The model, figures and accessories are mounted firmly on a base and equipped with an acrylic display case.
