What should you know about BBR Models?

BBR models are produced primarily from resin, although the portfolio also includes rarer die-cast metal editions. The most common scales are 1:43 and 1:18. BBR’s 1:18 resin models are considered among the most sought-after on the market. Each model is presented on a luxurious base, often made of leather or Alcantara, and most editions also include an acrylic display case.

Every BBR model is produced as a limited edition, with the production run indicated on a metal plaque on the base. The most common editions consist of 49, 99, 200 or 300 pieces, with BBR also specifying the individual number of each model (for example, 045/200). Particularly interesting are the special editions in which BBR releases the same model with different base configurations – for example, leather bases in red, black or blue, or editions featuring the signature of a designer or driver. These variants are often even more limited than the standard version.

The Scuderia Ferrari single-seaters deserve a special mention, as BBR releases them every year in both 1:43 and 1:18 scales. For the larger 1:18 scale, collectors can choose between two versions:

   1. Economy version: A more affordable option with simpler packaging, featuring a polystyrene base and cardboard box. This version is not a limited edition.

   2. Luxury version: A limited edition mounted on a leather base with an acrylic display case and premium box, complemented by a numbered plaque.

One of the most significant changes concerns the production technology of the F1 single-seaters. Until 2025, BBR produced these models from metal, while from 2026 the brand is switching to resin. This change allows for even finer details, such as individually separated front-wing elements. The trade-off for this level of detail is fixed wheels, which no longer rotate. This is, however, standard for static resin models and allows the manufacturer to achieve greater visual accuracy.

The quality of workmanship is one of the main reasons why BBR is considered one of the world’s leading brands in the resin segment. The models are characterized by:

  • exceptionally precise paintwork, including multi-layer finishes, metallic and pearlescent effects

  • hand-applied decals

  • highly detailed interiors with realistic textures

  • precise body proportions

  • high-quality tyres and wheels

  • sharp, precisely defined headlights and grilles

For some iconic models, such as the Ferrari F40, 288 GTO, LaFerrari and Purosangue, BBR also offers opening panels, which is a rarity in the resin segment.

BBR is the right choice for collectors who:

  • prefer premium, hand-finished models

  • are looking for the highest possible level of resin craftsmanship

  • collect Ferrari or other Italian brands

  • want models with very low production numbers

  • appreciate luxurious packaging and an included display case

  • are willing to pay more for collector exclusivity
