A unique diorama of Mika Häkkinen's accident from race of the 1999 San Marino Grand Prix. The diorama shows the moment after the impact with the concrete wall, and Hakkinen already out of the car waiting for the track marshalls.
Häkkinen is a two-time world champion from 1998 and 1999 with McLaren Mercedes. He drove in the F1 series from the 1991 season until 2001. He drove for the iconic Lotus and McLaren teams. In his career he won 20 victories, 51 podiums and 26 pole positions.
The basis is a diecast model of McLaren MP4/14 made by Minichamps, customised according to records and photos from the accident.
Quality handwork. The model and accessories are mounted firmly on a base and equipped with an acrylic display case.
