BAR 01 - R. Zonta 1999, crash at Spa, 1:18

A unique diorama of Ricardo Zonta's accident in the qualification for the Belgian Grand Prix in Spa-Fracorchamps in 1999. The Brazilian lost control over his vehicle in the famous Eau Rouge, which resulted in a horrific accident at the exit of the Raidillon. Fortunately, the driver escaped unharmed.

The whole accident was started by an agreement between the drivers of the BAR Supertec team, who faced the qualification to overcome the Eau Rouge flat out. Villeneuve was the first to try, but crashed, and in the sequel his teammate Ricardo Zonta also suffered an accident at the same place.

The basis of the diorama is a die-cast model BAR Supertec 01 from the manufacturer Minichamps, modified according to photos and videos from the accident.

Quality handwork, used real gravel. The model is mounted on a base and comes with an acrylic display case.
