Diorama McLaren MP4/31 - F. Alonso crash 2016, 1:18
A unique diorama of Fernando Alonso's accident from the 2016 Australian Grand Prix. The diorama shows the wreckage of the race car in the background and in the foreground the driver who got out of the car. In the 17th lap of the race in Albert Park, there was a collision between the Haas driver, Esteban Gutierrez, and Fernando Alonso, who tried to overtake him. As a result of a tyre contact, Alonso's right front wheel came off and the car hurtled into the gravel trap, finally stopping at the barrier. Alonso escaped the accident with minor injuries, and had to miss the following Bahrain Grand Prix.
Alonso currently drives for the Alpine team. In F1, he has two world championship titles (2005, 2006) and 2 titles from the 24h Le Mans. He also participated in the Indy500 and the Dakar Rally.
The basis is a resin model of McLaren MP4/31 made by Spark, rebuilt according to records and photos from the accident. On the back of the diorama is the original signature of Alonso, who signed this diorama on Thursday at the Hungarian GP 2022.
Quality handwork. The model and figure is mounted on a base and comes with an acrylic display case.
