Who is Sebastien Loeb?

Sébastien Loeb is one of the most successful drivers in history of rally sport. Born on February 26, 1974 in France, he is known for his dominance in the World Rally Championship (WRC), winning a record nine world championships between 2004 and 2012. During his career, he took more than 78 WRC victories, more than double that of any other rider in the sport.

Loeb presented himself as a versatile driver throughout his career, taking part in other races such as the Le Mans 24h, the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) and the World Rallycross Championship (WRX). From 2016 to 2018, he competed in the WRX series, taking two wins and another 15 podiums from 36 races. His ratio of top three finishes to starts is the third best in WRX history.

Among the teams he raced for, Citroën, Hyundai and M-Sport Ford are among the most important.

Regarding his participation in the Dakar Rally, Loeb participated in the Dakar in 2017, 2022 and 2023.
