Diorama Scuderia Ferrari workshop in 1961, scale 1:18

Workshop diorama of the team Scuderia Ferrari from 1961 with mechanics repairing the Dino 156 Sharknose race car, scale 1:18 More
A unique workshop diorama of the Scuderia Ferrari team from the beginning of the 60s. The diorama illustrates the work of the mechanics on the Ferrari Dino 156 Sharknose race car, under the direction of boss Enzo Ferrari. It was Enzo who was an opponent of changing the concept of F1 racing cars, when he fundamentally argued that the engine should be placed in front and not behind the driver. However, after the success of the British teams (who had rear-engine race cars), Enzo understood the necessity of changing the concept if Ferrari wanted to win. The single-seater Ferrari 156 Dino Sharknose was already of this new concept, and at the end of the 1961 season they could already celebrate their first constructors' title as well as the driver's title of American drivr Phil Hill.
The diorama shows the repair of the red single-seater with the rear hood raised and the nosecone removed, parked against the wall. The second silver-polished aluminum car (unpainted version) is currently being prepared for a test drive.
Elements of the diorama:
- photoetched parts and tools (pliers, keys, engine parts, etc.)
- functional lighting of lamps and chandeliers (total of 5 pieces) for touch with a magnetic key
- openable right door
- openable electrical box on the wall (9V battery storage)
